Suggest Permanent Cure For Keloid Scar On My Chest
i have keloid scar on chest and get lots of itching specially in hot season. I have consulted skin specialist and he said that there is no cure for this but he gave several injections on the hard surface i.l.inj TRICORT - 10 (2 amp) once a month for 7 months - the hard surface became soft and then later again it has come - is there any permanet cure for this - i am 71 yrs old and am o.k. no problems healthwise. Please advice.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of keloid scar on my chest which occurs when deposits occurs in chest area due to excessive collagen formation. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply intralesional triamcinolone acetonide as it will cause breakdown of collagen tissue and will cause flattening of scar. Best treatment option for this is injection of intralesional steroids. You can get its repeated injections as well. If any pus formation and any redness occurs it is mainly because of infection. It could be due to variation in temperature as well. You should start using a topical steroid cream like clobetasol over the keloid.
