Suggest Methods To Control Blood Pressure

I am age 69. My blood pressure is unusually high right now (136/75). Normally about 90/60. mY ears feel clogged.......I am under more stress than normal..my husband of nearly 50 yrs passed away unexpectedly 3 1/2 months ago (age 75). He and I were very close and since our retirement 10 years ago, were rarely apart. Because I have some memory problems (mild dementia), my son didn t feel I should be living alone. He had his 22 yr old daughter stay with me in my own home in Florida , then about 6 weeks ago had me put my home on the market and moved me to live with him, his wife and and 12-yr old daughter in North Carolina. I get along well with my son and his family...but I can t say I m truly happy here, but as I told him yesterday, I m not sure I would be truly happy anywhere right now--my husband and I were very close, seldom apart in the past 10 years since retiring and moving from KS to FL. My 90-year-old mother (now living in Missouri) will be moving here with us, too, in late September. I get along well with my mother, so that really isn t a problem for me, although I would prefer she not see me the way my mind is right now because my father passed away about 12 years ago...he had memory problems similar to mine and I think it will be hard on her to see me going through the same thing my father did. Do you think it is safe for me to just try to relax, rest and see if this passes before nightfall or should I see a doctor soon? I am actually feeling better now than when I started writing this and BP is down to 113 over 64 (just now took it).

Hello! Thank you for your question! Regarding your concerns it seems like your recently life disturbed by the loss of your beloved persons has turned her awful and unpleasant side to you; but don't worry! Take your life as she comes, as God probably has decided for you to transmit your immense love to the other close beloved persons of your life.
Regarding your Blood Pressure up and down, seems that it may be influenced mainly by a severe psychological stress; for the moment don't worry; with the time everything will resolve. I recommend to you a routine check up by your GP to perform a physical examination and some blood tests (CBC, kidney and renal function tests, blood glucose, etc).
Hope to have been helpful to you. Greetings from Dr. Iliri
