General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is likely that the pain is due to soft tissue injury to the muscles in that arm from over use. If the aspirin is not effective for you then you can try the use of other pain medications such as Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Cataflam, Celebrex etc. A cold compress to the area may also be helpful as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
