General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

Here, your daughter's severe coughing could be due to acute bronchitis, allergic bronchitis or upper respiratory infection etc.

She may need to undergo routine blood investigations with sputum (if it is coming with cough) smear tests and X- ray chest to rule out any other pathology of lung.

She will require full course of antibiotics (quinolones or cephalosporins) in syrup forms with anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic syrups (antihistamines ) with supportive treatment.

Avoid taking cold water or fruit juices which might exaggerate your coughing.

Consult pediatrician for further advise.

Regards,
