I have an enlarged spleen. I got this diagnosis in July of 2013. I have lived with LUQ pain, severe, and sometimes debilitating pain, during this whole time. Blood work has come back normal. At the onset of the diagnosis, the spleen was stated at being in 2 cm enlarged. My PCP at the time said it was not my spleen causing the pain, that it was the nerve coming from my spine. A specialist ruled that theory out, twice. I have had multiple CT scans performed, abdominal ultrasounds, and endoscopy, as well as multiple visits to ER s due to being dismissed by my PCP, because she said my level if care was beyond hers. My question: being as I have an enlarged spleen, will it stay enlarged, and will I have to deal with this pain the rest if my life? What can u do for pain management? Thank you
