Suggest Medications For Constipation With Stomach Cramps In The Elderly

Hello I am a 55 yr male I was diagnosed with celiac 5 yrs ago and even remaining gluten free I am having stomach complications I just had a colonscopy done which came out good yet I still have severe stomach cramps I have lost 30 pds and still losing severe constipation and I take two stoor softners daily it actually feels like if there is something in my stomach

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of constipation with stomach cramps which seems to be due to disturbance of electrolytic balance of body. It seems to be due to hemorrhoids, lack of fibres in diet and due to underlying systemic pathology. Need not to worry. Take oral rehydrating solution and increase fibre content in diet. You should avoid intake of outside sharp and spicy food. You should avoid intake of outside of food. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe proton pump inhibitors along with antacids. You should eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana.
