Hi,

The abortion pill is actually a combination of two kinds of pills namely Mifepristone and Misoprostol that are take in sequence. The first one Mifepristone is taken orally and then the second one, which is actually 4 pills called Misoprostol, is taken either orally or vaginally the same day upto 72 hours at home. The first pill, Mifepristone, blocks a hormone necessary for a pregnancy to continue to develop. The second pills, Misoprostol, causes cramping and bleeding from the vagina so that the pregnancy will leave your body. It is usually taken at home within 72 hours after taking the first pill.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
