Suggest Medication To Raise Ferritin Levels Other Than Ferrous Gluconate

I have been struggling to raise my ferritin levels. It is currently 45 up from 4 last year. I also suffer from CFS / ME. I have been prescribed ferrous gluconate. Would you recommend an iron iv ? I live in the uk where it is quite difficult to obtain an iv. I am female, 39 years old.

Hello! First, was an attempt made to find out the cause of low ferritin? Often if there is an identifiable underlying illness like
hypothyroidism or excess bleeding due
to any reason, ferritin levels stage a comeback as the primary disease improves
To increase ferritin naturally you'll have to consume iron rich foods like red meat, oysters , clams, lentils, spinach in combination with foods rich in vitamin C
(which helps in iron absorption ) like oranges. grapefruit etc. You'll have to avoid
taking calcium rich foods(primarily dairy and calcium supplements) close to taking iron rich foods as calcium interferes with iron absorption. Do write in for more information. All the best !
