Suggest Medication For Thread Worms

hi my daughter age 5 has just been diagnosed with threadworms and for the psat 2 nights has cried and cried because they itch so much she also has a bright red ring around anus - she is normally a fab sleeper. she has been given a dose of medicine to kill the worms, but is there anything (cream etc) you can recommend to relieve the itching for the next few nights - feel real sorry for her. thanks

Albendazole 400 mg orally with a repeat dose after 2 weeks is drug of choice for threadworm infection . Along with the kid all family members should also take treatment. Morning bath, frequent change of undergarments, bedsheets, bed clothes decrease risk of auto infection.
