Suggest Medication For Swelling In The Neck Under The Ear
Hi my name is Faith. I m 64 yrs old. I have had ear pain with infection and fluid for a month. I have seen my entire Dr 2x. He said infection seemed to be gone but fluid was still present. Now the bone right behind my ear is painful and I have swelling in my neck under my ear. Where should I go from here.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swelling in the neck under the ear which seem sto be due to lymph node enlargement and it could be mastoiditis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated. Treatment can be planned accordingly. You should take antibiotic Levofloxacin and anti-inflammatory medication and maintain cleanliness of area. You should apply warm compresses on that area.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
