Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

A patient with vertigo should have a spinning sensation, tinnitus is not enough. Ear pressure and tinnitus may be symptoms of labyrinth disorders but more than one may present with similar symptoms. Tinnitus may also be a symptom related to chronic degenerative changes in the ear.

Ear pressure requires assessment. An ENT specialist is the most appropriate specialist to do the assessment. The treatment depends on the diagnosis as some of these disorders may be treated with a course of corticosteroids while others can only be treated with drugs for the labyrinth-like betahistine etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
