General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a torn ligament. I suggest using anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
