Fever is not likely to be caused by a bump on the head. Information that is important to know is: what height the fall was from, the surface landed on (i.e.concrete, carpet etc), the general state of behavior of the baby. Babies have open fontanelles which offer a level of protection from excess pressure.
Just in case, however, I would recommend you have a doctor check your baby.
