hai my mother 63 years weight 40kgs old suffering from cough from last 1 week we tried mediciens suggested by the doctor takeing the tonic for the same but she continuosly getting the cough every 15min kindly suggest what type of precations my mother need to take

In my opinion you should first consult pulmonologist and get done chest x ray and auscultation. Cough in old age can be due to pulmonary problems and heart problems. So get done chest x ray to rule out infection. If this is normal go for PFT for diagnosis of bronchitis. If all are normal than go for ECG for cardiac cause. So take your grand mother to the doctor and follow their advice.
