Suggest Medication For Constipation, Nausea And Dizziness

my husband gets constipated easily. he has been having very sever pains on theright side of stomach. Emergency at the hospital did a cat scan and could not find the source of pain. Can constipation cause ongoing severe pain? He is also nauseated and dizzy. He is not running a fever and his urin and blood tests are fine. They gave him laxatives and he did have a bowel movement, but the pain stays, and so does the gas. We are at our wits end! This has been going on for over a week with no relief...not even pain meds help HELP!!!

Well come HCM
Thank for asking
I really appreciate your concern, severe constipation may cause the abdominal pain else constipation may not cause the abdomen pain, the cause of abdomen then could be different, I would suggest to rule out the possibility of renal stone, it may not detect in CT scan, but better to get done the plain x-ray abdomen and ultrasonography, some it may require, pyalogram (Urinary) small stone or calculi is difficult to detect, for the constipation, have more fiber containing diet, drink more water, Isabgol stool softener can be tried, hope this information helps.
