hi doc. may i ask something i have a problem and i dnt know how to solve it. i am a coffee addict one time i did not drink a coffee and i got head ache it was very pain it seems like my head will be broken that time. so i took pain killer .after an hour its gone so ive noticed now that if i dont drink a cup of coffee everyday i get headache.. so since that day till now my coffee is my life. without coffee i get sick/headache/migrain... i can t stop it coz if i stop drinking i will suffer the pain please give me some advices hope that you can help me thank you very much. merry x mas and a prosperous new year..more power god bless.

Hi, I have gone through your query & understood your problem. Coffee is a stimulant to central nervous system. One needs to drink 3 full mugs (300ml) of coffee for a long time to get addicted. It's a good sign that you have accepted the fact that you need to drop coffee. - You must stick to the thought & repeat it daily to your self.Also think of the benefits from quitting coffee, ( Self positive talk) - try to avoid temptation points in a day-by engaging your self in some task you love to do. - Try chewing sugar free chewing gum,clove to divert your atainsion. - Substitute coffee with fresh fruits/salads.drink plenty of water. * Remember,it's going to take a long time to quit it completely. The more determined /persistent you are.earlier will be the result. * In case you find it impossible,consult a psychiatrist. Thanks
