Suggest Home Remedy And Diet Plan For Patient With Malaria And Typhoid

Hello,My husband is in ivory coast currently and last week he had fever with shivering,vomiting, headache.His blood sample shows malaria and typhoid he is taking medicine but still headache, shivering, little breath is there. Since he is alone please let me know what should be the diet plan he is vegetarian. How long does it take to recover.Any home remedy for speedy recovery. Regards Jayshree sharma

Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Malaria and typhoid will take around 1 week to get better with medications.
In this period there will be lot of nausea and uneasy feeling in stomach.
In diet, he should consume more of hot home made food which is bland so as not to irritate stomach and cause nausea and vomiting.
Dal khichdi, soups, non spicy and non oily subji with chapati, fruits and most important is home boiled and then cooled water.
No outside water drinking as it causes typhoid.
I hope with this he will recover quicker.
