Suggest Home Cures For A Huge Painful Bartholin's Cyst

Hi, I’ve had a Bartholin cyst for 3 weeks now. It’s just grown to the size of two golf balls. It’s not too painful but I have tried everything to sitz bath with Epsom salt, turmeric, witch hazel and coconut oil and Serrapeptase. I don’t want to see a gp about it and wondered if there are anymore Home cures I could try?

OBGYN, Gynecologic Oncology 's  Response
Hello,

It can be a painful and prolonged ordeal to try to deal with it using home cures. I would recommend seeing a gynecologist and having both drained. It can be done with anesthesia to make it pain-free. It resolves well and swiftly thereafter. Please bear in mind that once pus has collected and formed in any part of the body, it is unlikely to be resolved unless drained, especially if it’s a big collection. A point to bear in mind is that if it bursts on its own the healing may produce more scarring and affect appearance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sabina Hussain
