Suggest Effective Alternative Medicine For Dilaudid
I am taking care of my friend who has stage 4 breast cancer. Hospice was recommed for pain control and they have come to our home. She was already prescribed dilaudid for back and knee chronic pain. Hospice doctor has added morphine sulphate 75 MG every 12 hours and increased dilaudid to 8 MG every 4 hours. My question is would opana be a possible substitute for the morphine as it gives her stomach pain and just makes her feel bad.

There are many other narcotic medications for pain. Please have the patient or family communicate with the hospice doctors and let the know the problem she is having so that they can change the medications to one that does not give her these side effects
