Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI, i took 10 cytotec tablets to abort my pregnancy. i was about two and a half months. i took four tablets and three hours after i took 3 and inserted three. i would like to know if this was an accurate amount to terminate my pregnancy. i am currently bleeding but not heavily, just like a normal period flow and i took this tuesday and its thursday now. i would also like to know how long again may i bleed for and should i be worried as i am only bleeding lightly. thank you
Mifepristone taken before Misoprostol is found to be very effective medical termination of pregnancy. Nausea, vomiting bleeding, abdominal cramps and diarrhea will occur 24 to 48 hours after taking Misoprostol. I would suggest you to visit your gynecologist in order to ensure complete removal of uterine contents and avoid sepsis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
