Suggest Diet Plan To Get Relief From Lightheaded

I have been on the HCG diet for almost 3 weeks. I have experienced some light headed ness and almost fainting twice in the last 2 weeks. I am assuming it is low blood suger levels. What are things i could add to my diet to prevent this from happening again.

Welcome to HCM,
You are experiencing light headedness most probably due to fluid deficit and electrolyte abnormalities. You also probably get dizzy when standing up from a seated position putting you at a fall risk, so get up very slowly.

The calories are too low to be safe. And, no evidence exists that Human chorianic gonadotrophin has successfully helped anyone to lose weight. It is a female sex hormone. The injections are more of a hype to draw people in and then starving yourself, losing muscles mass (which weighs more than fat) and the water weight from glycogen loss (carbohydrate storage and it comes right back).

What you can do to stop this is follow a reasonable diet and lifestyle change program so that when you do lose the weight you can keep it off.

Good luck! Kathryn Shattler, MS,RDN
