Suggest Cause & Medications For Leakage Of Valves With Shortness Of Breath
I am a 45 year old female. 4 years ago I had a stress test done and they told me one of my valves is leaking and I have fluid building up around my heart. It is getting now to where whatever I do I am getting short of breath, lightheaded and red in the face. Also having some palpations in my chest and fluttering in my neck. I feel like I can t catch a good breath.
hello,I have gome through your details.you have not mentioned whether echocardiography was done or not?stress test does not tell you about leaking valve.so i presume that your echo was suggestive of valvular regurgitation.I also would like to know which valve amongst 4 is leaking?but since you are have shortness of breath,it definitely means that you need early assessment of your heart by echocardiography and judge severity of lesion, and i can predict that you may need replacement of valve.meanwhile you should start diuretic Tab.Lasix 40 mg daily which will make you pass more urine and will give you relief in shortness of breath.but please go for early check up. my best wishes.
