General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Some persons may have abnormal bleeding in response using hormonal contraception.
If it is excessive, your doctor can give your medication to stop the bleeding.

Depo may be associated with the nausea and abdominal discomfort but is not usually associated with the swelling of joints likely you are experiencing.

You may want to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment to determine if there are any other causes for your symptoms. This would require physical examination and possibly blood tests.

I hope this helps
