Suggest Cause And Remedy For Constant Blockage Of The Ear

I have an ear that feels like it is constantly blocked (helicopter in my most of the time) I have consulted a gp about it and i was put on 10 days of antibiotics along with a prescription ear drop............no relief. I was advised I might have a descended ear drum and to seek out ENT. can this relieve itself, or is an ent truly needed?

Hi , Thank for asking to HCM.

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you Steam Inhalation twice daily & Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination .

Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.

You are most likely suffering from Otitis media with Effusion and yes it needs an ENT consult to diagnose the exact cause for it.
