Hi,

Noted your history of chronic coughing for 2 years, consulted many Doctors, gets well with Foracort - 400 but wants to stop.
With the history your have given my thoughts are as follows:
- First of all get the proper investigations done:
Pulmonary function tests.
- CT scan of chest.
- Tests of blood.
- Mantoux test.
- Clinical evaluation and proper auscultation of chest by a Physician can hear sounds if there is any asthma or so.
- Also get the blood sugar to rule out diabetes.
- Serum Calcium as you have taken steroid.
- Vitamin A and D tests done. Get corrected if any deficiency as these 2 vitamins help a lot.
All these will find the proper cause and if the blood tests for allergy is positive then you get specific treatment.
- You may need to take a long courses, again and again as needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
