Suggest Antibiotics For Diverticulitis

Is there an over the counter pain med or antibiotic for diverticulitis pain? I had some hydrocodone (Norco, i think) that I took & that seemed to work best, & I have an appt for a colonoscopy next month, but I have had quite a bit of pain last night, & today I ve had some. Should I make an appt before my colonoscopy with my dr or see if he will call in an antibiotic?

Hello
Thank you for trusting HCM

Amoxicilline clvulinic acid can used twice a day with
Metronidazole 400mg thrice a day
Or
ciprofloxacine 500 twice a with Metronidazole

Or
Moxifloxacine , levofloxacine.

Please consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Better to avoid opioid analgesia cause constipation lead to aggravate present problem.
