Suggest An Effective Treatment For Typhoid Fever
i have being treating typhiod fever for over four months now and i still don t feel ok. anytime i go for the widal test i get significant typhoid results. I have used amoxicilin and ciproflolaxin and still no changes. I hope someone here can help out. Thanks

I understand your problem, nothing to worry about it.
First of all Widal test is not the diagnostic test for typhoid.
It is the blood culture which is more sensitive and specific.
Despite of taking Ciproflox and Amoxicillin (NOT EFFECTIVE) the fever is not controlled, that means the bacteria are resistant to these group of antibiotics.
You may please start taking Tab Cefixime 200 mg twice daily at least for 10-14 days plus Paracetamol tablets 500 mg three times daily OK if there is no improvement you have to see your doctor for further evaluation.

For typhoid you need to go for culture taste. ANd according to that you need to take medicines. This is the ideal protocol everybody should follow.
In this case you might be resistance to given antibiotic so it can be reveal only and only after culture examination. I suggest you to go for stool culture test because other specimen might be negative after this much period so.
Widal test is not definite for the diagnosis of typhoid. It may gives false positive result. Drug you have given is right for salmonella but it might found resistance in culture. so you need to do that. And than consult a good physician and follow his advise. In salmonella long term treatment is needed to remove salmonella completely from body.
