Suggest An Alternative Treatment For Neuropathy For A 59-year-old

Hi, I am a 59 year old mechanic, on my feet all day & have neuropathy in my feet caused by a low back injury. I take lyrica which helps a little & use an inversion table that has helped with the burning & tingling but the pain is still very bad. I also take prescription Percocet that helps with chronic low back pain but doesn t seem to help the foot pain at all. I have considered different creams & natural meds advertised on this site & others but am afraid they may be a waste of money. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you very much for your time & thoughts on my problems, Denny

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I am sorry to say but chronic neuropathies are unlikely to respond to medicines. Occupational and physiotherapy might help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
