Suggest Alternative Treatment For Osteoporosis

Yes, I have just be prescribed taking Ibandronate sodium by my gynnocologist for osteoporosis. I have never had to take a prescription before with so many serious side effects. Is there something else I could treat this with such as improving my diet?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, I would suggest you take high calcium diet like milk on daily basis along with vitamin D supplements but as osteoporosis is proved so you may need to take the prescribed medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
