Suggest Alternate Over The Counter Medication For Cipralex

Hello, I was recently put on cipralex. I understand that is an ssri. I am wondering why there are no antidepressants or maybe there are if you can enlighten me, that lock the reabsorbtion of dopamine. As far as I have experienced, dopeamine seems to be the neurotransmitter of bliss confidence, spirit feelings etc. ??? Please help. I mean would that be a benzo? Everyone is getting addicted to benzodiazepines it seems to me for quite a natural reason? Thank you for your time

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There are selective alpha 2 blockers available as Mirtazapine, the advantages of the same should be discussed with your psychiatrist.

There are no OTC options for the Cipralex tablet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
