Suggest Alternate Medicine For Autrin
Hi Doc, I have a genetic problem with my iron levels and find I have to take oral iron supplements every 6 months. I have been taking Autrin up until now, which really agrees with me (no constipation, etc). At the moment this product is unavailable - what is the equivalent? ? Orofer? Please advise. Many thanks

Autrin capsule contains ferrous sulfate (iron), folic acid and vitamin B-12 as its important active ingredients and commonly used to prevent and treat anemia due to lack of iron, folic acid, and vitamin-B12 deficiency.
You may ask your pharmacist for alternate medicines with the same ingredients like prefol or feroglobin. Orofer may be taken instead but it does not contain vitamin B-12
