71 yr old guy. Had surgery for esophagaeal cancer over 3 yrs. ago. Has not pooped for 5 days. Severe cramping. ER twice. CT scan and all other tests ok. Stool softeners, magnesium citrate, dulcolax are not working. Was taking med for vomiting (under the tongue). Fleet enema today. Nothing is working. Lost 9 pounds in the past 5 days. Broth & an egg today. Stomach is still hurting.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

With a history of prolonged constipation, it is quite understandable to be having abdominal pain.

You may need to try medication such as lactulose, this is a very helpful for constipation.
May want to combine with other agents such as prune juice to increase fiber intake.
Would need to ensure that you are using a lot of fluids as well.

I hope this helps
