Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your father's symptoms. He is most probably suffering from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

In this condition, there is obstruction to free passage of air while breathing at nights, leading to frequent sleep disruptions.

CPAP device is the standard treatment for OSA. However, it needs to be titrated under the guidance of a neurologist/pulmonologist.

In addition, weight loss, if overweight, would also help.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
