General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Diabetic diet would consist of giving complex carbohydrates in moderate quantities, low in fats, high in proteins and good quantity of fibres.
It is advised to give frequent small meals at regular intervals. Along with diet, regular moderate exercise is also an essential component to keep blood glucose under check.
You should completely avoid foods with refined carbohydrates.
You can consult Nutritionist for advise on both quality and quantity of food to be given.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
