Suggest OTC Medication For Recurring, Itchy Skin Tags Around The Ankles

I have small skin tags around my ankles that I can scratch off. They grow very slow but and are some what itchy. Several years back on a yearly physical my doctor scrapped a few off and looked at them under a micro scope and said they where some type of fungus. Gave me a prescription for a cream and they went away. Now they are coming back. Is there a over the counter medication that may knock them back?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection.

I also recommend using Fluconazole medication as oral treatment.

I recommend washing and drying frequently the area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
