Suggest OTC Drugs And Diet Recommendations For Persistent Cough

I have a cough I have had for better than three weeks and have taken z pack 250mg to no effect then the followiing week 500mg of zithromycin and it did not work either. Then the doctor prescribed levofloxacin 500mg and I was susspicious and googled it and Wow it has killed 952 people in the USA and 1400 including other countries. I am not sure if the doctor was trying to kill me or the bacteria? Guess He figured it would do both. Anyway now I have Ominicef 300mg prescribed twice a day. Question what other drugs or over the counter medication or food will kill bacteria??

Hi..

Antibiotics can help in improving if there is associated bacterial infection..

Along with it you should also get checked for Bronchitis and allergies.

Along with antibiotics take cough syrup like a combination of Dextromethorphan and Gueifenesin..

Avoid exposure to dust and pollutants.

Drink warm water and avoid spicy or irritant foods.
