Suffering From Migraine Headaches, Head Feels Drugged. Taking Pseudo Ephedrine. Suggestions?
I have migraine headaches and by chance I started to take pseudo ephedrine daily and my headaches decreased. I told my dr and he didn't like me taking it every day so he prescribed cyproheptadine. I only take 2mg at night. I am so tired all day long and can't seem to shake the feeling. My head feels drugged. Any advise?
Hello, Thank you for the query. I have gone through your query and understood your concerns. The cyproheptadine which you are taking right now is a first generation antihistaminics and in this class the most common side effects we usually see in our clinic is with drowsiness that is the thing what is happening in you and it is quite normal to have. But if it troubles you much if you were my patient I will prescribe tab.topiramate 25mg at night for 2 months a prophylaxis and tab.headset or tab ibuprofen for acute attacks. As these are prescription drugs you need to consult your treating doctor to confirm the diagnosis. Thank you.
