Hello and welcome to HCM
I have read you mail in detail. In my personal opinion stop your antibiotic for 2-3 days and than get you stool culture examination done. The report will give you the exact name of the bacteria which is causing infection and also a list of drug which is effecting in stopping the infection and stop the growth of bacteria.
Consult your doctor with report and select 1-2 antibiotic from the list and get a complete course of it. Till the report comes keep your mother hydrated and give her electrolyte powder.
Give her hygienic light food and semiliquid diet.
Give only RO filtered water or boiled water.
Hope this will help you.
Best Wishes
