Hi... ive been on Nuristerate for about 5 years. i stopped going for the injection last year june month and am having difficulty conceiving. i had my periods a month after stopping and have been getting my periods on a monthly basis for the normal 5 day period. in june, this year, my cycle went on for about a period of 3 weeks. My cycle was a week early for this month. It's been two weeks now since then and am seeing blood again together with some anal bleeding.
It appears as though you are currently experiencing menstrual irregularities. This could be due to various factors, including the discontinuation of contraceptives.
I would advice the following investigations which should help in finding the exact cause and then accordingly treat it. They are: -Blood tests to check hormone levels -Transvaginal ultrasound -Pap smear -Vaginal swab test
These investigations should be more than sufficient in finding the exact cause for your presentation.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
