Sore Throat, Severe Chills, Migraines, Pains All Over Body. What Should I Do?

Hi i have been ill for 7 days, starting with a sore throat , then severe chills and sweats and really bad migraines, and pains all over my body. i was in bed for 2 days in a dark room managed to get on sofa 3rd and 4th day. I also have really awful pains in my kidney areas which did spread to pains down my leg(mainly left) but right starting to hurt too now.these pains were really really bad and i was physically screaming and crying and nearly went to a n e but seem to not hurt as much in my leg now, when i was pregnant 4 years ago i had blood in my wee all thru and had to have a kidney scan and it seemed i had one kidney bigger than the other. i did have small amount of visible blood in my urine for 2 days but that was 2 weeks ago. I have now still 7 days later got a really really sore thoat and head and neck and when i swallow i get a shooting pain in my upper arm?

Hello

I read your query regarding sore throat and fever associated with chills and pain over head and entire body. you have one kidney bigger than other and now you have a different pain which arises from back and passes to lower abdomen and to leg of left side.

As you said your fever was associated with chills this indicates towards- Urinary tract infection, Malaria, and viral fever. Since you have severe pain in body and abdominal pain radiating to left leg this indicates for fever of infection of urinary system, no doubt you have associated sore throat.

You are advice for these investigations-

(a) Blood- CBC, ESR, M.P., Ser creatinin, SGPT, SGOT, widal test.

(b) Urine- Routine and microscopic.

(c) Ultrasonography of abdomen.

After thorough examination and clinical co-relation with signs and investigations one may reach to correct diagnosis and treatment.
