Should Skull X Ray Be Taken Post A Head Injury?

I had a bad fall out of bed against a night stand in Feb. I did feel confused the rest of that day and loss agood bit of blood behind my ears; I had a slight head ache also. But since that day I have not felt right in my head. I just don t feel right. Now it feels like I always have a stuffy nose and it s disturbing my breathing. I went to the dentist and there were no significant dental problems connect to this. Should I get a skull x-Ray.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

X-ray has got limited role in head injury. If you experience pain or dizziness, better to go for a CT scan to get a better clinical picture. Consult a general surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
