Should A Hard Knot On Forearm With Bruising Around It Be A Cause For Worry?

My 14 yr. old daughter came home with a dime size hard knot on her forearm. She said she had a cramp in it. This morning she has noted bruising around the knot, it feels warm to tough directly over the knot. She has free movement and states it only hurts when it is touched. Should I be worried and take her to the doctor?

Hi..by what you quote I feel that she might be developing an abscess over the area. I suggest you take her to the doctor as it might require an antibiotic therapy. The bruising around the not indicates that a skin and soft tissue infection is on the way.
