Should Zubsolv Be Held Under The Tongue Without Swallowing?

I can t find anything on the internet about how to properly take zubsolv. I switched from suboxone 8mg to zubsolv 5.1 I think it is. With subs I held under my tongue for at least 30 minutes.. do I hold the zubsolv under my tongue that long too? Do I let the saliva build in my mouth just like suboxone? Or do I just let it dissolve and that s it? And I always swallowed the saliva after taking suboxone and holding it in my mouth for as long as I could. Does it really matter if you spit it out or swallow just as long as you keep it under your tongue long enough to dissolve? I was told if you swallow your body gains a higher tolerance to it. So I m highly confused. Please just tell me the exact instructions on how to take zubsolv. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
Used in the treatment of Opioid de-addiction, Zubsolv (Buprenorphine) is a tablet which when placed under the tongue gets dissolved under the tongue within 5 minutes and absorbed into the blood circulation to produce its beneficial effect.
Chewing or swallowing the tablet or talking while the tablet is dissolving will prevent the medication from working as it should. Hence, its beneficial effects may not be seen.
Let the tablet dissolve completely. If your mouth is dry, take a sip of water to moisten it. There's no need to build up the saliva in your mouth.
Hope the suggestions given above would be useful.
