Should I Take Whey Protein And Glucosamine?

Hello
My name is Zain, 23 years old, 183 cm height and 79 kg weight, an athlete.
I recently began a heavier style of training and began to consume whey protein, fish oil and glucosamine as supplements.
My questions to you doctor are:
- Are these supplements safe to be consumed?
- Yesterday I felt pain " mild pain that disappeared but woke me up during the night" in my right elbow joint during my workout session, what would it probably be? and should I stop working out? and if yes, for how long?
Please help doctor, We don't the needed medical services where I am now.
Thanks.

My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.

There is no real harm in using Whey Protein and Glucosamine you can use them and it is always preferred that you do your work out under a good trainer who know pros and cons of the supplements available in market, Don't over dose protein supplement and make sure they don't have anabolics in it.

The pain:
The pain you talked about may be due to some over work out you done or a wrong angle which you used to work out, just remember athletics is an art if you are a runner boxer,or a weight lifter mechanics od the body should Go in the right way so that it doesn't get hurt so work under a good trainer, Eat good sleep good rest good, and you are good to go.

A minor pain here and there wouldn't be a concern but do't over workout start with small and gradually grow in strength and work out lifting a 12 KG dub-bell on your 1st day is never a wise idea start with 2 and gradually take it to where ever you want.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
