Should I Switch Back To Metoprolol From Cardizem After Experiencing Shortness Of Breath And Headaches?

I just started taking cardezem 90mg twice a day I have had a headache all day, my heart seems to be skipping, I was on metroprolo100 mg twice a day I have taken that as a bats blocker for years, I had a stress test and was short of breath, and the dr ordered cardezem. I have not felt right all day, should I go back to what I was taking? I am worried about the side effects of this,

I am not sure , whether you had any wheezing when breathlessness occurred during stress. Metoprolol , though selective beta blocker may lose selectivity at higher doses and those who are susceptible to asthma , dose may be reduced or avoided. But apparently you were comfortable with Metoprolol and can switch over to same after discussing with your doctor who prescribed Cardizem as you are not tolerating the same.
