Should I Be Worried For The Soreness In The Calf And For The Bruised, Swollen Ankle?

my calf was hit by my surfboard last week…it felt like a charlie horse after it hit and took me a little while after i paddled back out to stop the stinging…it has been super sore since, i have been stretching, doing yoga and still surfing, but i noticed today that my ankle is looking bruised now and it is swollen as well…i have discomfort in that calf still…should i be worried?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
I think there might be contusion in your calf and sprain in your ankle.
You need to apply crepebandage from knee to toe and every two hours apply ice over affected part.
You need a week rest and keep your leg elevated most of time.
If you have pain can take parecetamol.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
