Should I Be Worried After A Fall And Hitting Head On The Wall?

My 1 1/2 year old son fell off the bed and hit his head on the wall trim. He cried immediately and calmed down in about four minutes of me rocking him. He got a substantial welt immediately and a tiny cut with just a little blood. He was so tired he fell asleep about a half hour after. That was two hours ago and i've been waking him up every hour to check him. He seems fine but I am a first time mother and this is his first serious fall, I'm terrified he may be bleeding in his brain because of the momentum of his fall. Also nearest doctor or ER is an hour away. Any advice?

Thanks for the query.

Generally the baby's skull bones are soft and less likely to be fractured.

If you are observing the following issues like Change in color, Difficulty breathing, Unusual drowsiness, Vomiting, Pupils of unequal size, Difficulty with coordination you must rush to ER.

But as you have not mentioned any of these issues i hope there is nothing serious.

Hope i helped you.
