Should I Be Concerned For The Abdominal Stitch That Seems To Be Sandwiched And Is There A Possibility Of Infection?

I had a TAH 13 days ago and I am concerned about the abdominal stitch my Dr made. It is a horizontal incicision and looks fine until about mid section. Then it begins to look like I have skin that is sandwiched together. This concerns me because I don't see any outside stitches for her to remove and I am worried about the possibility of infection. I have had 3 C-sections and my stitches ( and skin) never looked like this.

I am really trying not to worry.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,
Not all skin wounds have stitches that need to be removed. Some skin stitches are dissolvable. It would be difficult to be specific about your wound without seeing it. I suggest you keep the wound clean and dry. Make an appointment to see your nurse soon so the wound can be examined. By this time, if there are stitches to be removed, they would be due for removal.
