Should I Be Concerned For Headache, Weird Line Like A Vein On Left Temple That Has A Pulse?

Last night, I felt a weird line, like a vein, on my left temple. It had a pulse. I never noticed it before until last night. After a while, the line went down, but I can still feel it pulsing when i put my finger on it. I also have a slight headache. I'm sixteen and biologically female. You don't think it's anything serious, do you?

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be due to:
1. Migraine
2. Cluster headache
3. Tension headache
4. Any intra-cranial lesion
5. Trigeminal neuralgia, etc.

Though symptomatic relief can be obtained with analgesics, their regular use is not advised owing to unwanted side effects.
And unless the underlying cause is treated, the symptom will keep recurring.

So, kindly consult your Physician & get a proper clinical examination done.
Investigations like estimation of blood pressure levels, complete blood count, CT scan of brain will be helpful.

Similar symptoms can also be caused due to different refractive powers in both the eyes.
So, kindly get your refractive power tested.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
