Severe Pain In Neck, Titanium Rods Placed After Decompression Surgery. Can I Have These Rods Removed?
I have titanium rods in my neck C1 to C7 (2007) due to decompression surgery for Arnold Chiari Malformation (2004) that may have left my neck unstable. My pain is much worse then it has ever been concerning my neck. What I want to know is can I have these rods removed? If so, where in Arkansas is there a competent Dr. to do this?

Hi, it is not clear from your quiry, you are having chiary malformation, since 2004, got titanium rods in 2007, but now you are thinking of removing of the rods. So long you are with your rods, and why do you want to get them removed. If it is unbearable after 6 years, the disease process might be more now, so i advise you to consult a orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
